Welcome to Japan, Tokyo is where the last grand slam on the 2017 International judo federation world tour took place.
In this episode of judo for the world we’ll see all the best action from an incredible grand slam where the home nation looked set to dominate, as they fielded 7 of their 8 reigning world champions.
As always we’ll bring you our pick of the top three ippons from Tokyo.
We’ll have expert technical insight from former British world champion Neil Adams
And we’ll catch up with Japan’s brother and sister superstars, the Abes.

I just would love to see more of this "judo highlights" instead of the "judo for the world" videos. I am watching for the magnificent judo and nothing else.

Hamada Shori and Munkhbat Urantsetseg are best newaza players in the world Hamada's record was 15 wins out of 15 contests at international tournaments in 2017 all the wins by newaza

They should have judo comp where there are no rounds or stopping until 1 opponent gives up, gets tapped or nocked out or incapacitated in any way.

Kuba Bruh Look correctly, it‘s not the hand that is chocking, it‘s the tissue of the gi. She can‘t put it under when it‘s already locked in. But oh well, I guess there is always that guy who competes on a local level who knows better

The blue competitor could easily posture up after spinning her head same side as the choking hand. The biggest problem is laying on your stomach neck open, instead of trying to get up or recover guard

Kuba Bruh In the end it‘s always easy to critize it from an observant point. During a fight there are so many variables that you have to count in (exhaustion, lots of informations, pain, the choke depriving you from breathing). It‘s like saying: „If Boxer X would have put up his hand, he wouldn’t have been knocked out“
