I am amazed by the comments. Are you guys blind? Teddy is facing a strong opponent in his third fight and has to work hard, so of course he is getting tired, like everyone else, but the quality of his Judo is excellent. Awesome Kumi kata, committed attacks using multiple techniques. Scored Yuko on Uchi mata and ippon with Koshi Jime. What the heck are you complaining about?

+sylverdrag I agree .. 38+ years of judo for me and I can tell a boring fight when I see one! At one point the Riner was losing by a Shido. While I can't stand the Shido system and the way many of the big international fights are won by a single - often somewhat dubious - shido .. this bout was quite exciting. You could feel the aggression and strength of the NED fighter .. and the calmness of Riner. Its fascinating to watch any of his bouts because a single loss would smash his aura of invincibility. Just my 2 cents ;)

Bravissimo l' avversario di Riner.... ma tanto è come combattere contro un grizzly!! Finché lui non trova un avversario della sua stessa stazza e forza ci giocherà sempre con gli avversari!!

I'd like a more agressive fight, i've done judo for 6 years then i stopped to practice another sport, i've played soccer for 4 years. Now I've started judo again, I've done competitions. I like the agressive style of judo. But it is important to show respect to your opponent.

Roy meyer didn’t allow teddy rinner to execute his usual judo which that on its own is quiet an accomplishment. What allowed rinner to win was his outstanding conditioning which is why he was able to submit meyer roy so easily without even a fight.

I like Teddy Riner and he had win with a nice newaza technique but i think Roy Meyer was more active as Riner.

Teddy wins because he is just too strong. No judo art, just strength but hey, a win is a win

@Roki123 Being strong is Teddy's gift. Read my comment again. The beauty of a sport comes when you can win not because you are the strongest.

Right, he's looks so sloppy. It seems like he's just relying on his size to overpower his opponent.

Man judo matches are boring compared to bjj matches. What's the point of even incorporating any ground fighting at all if they are stood up after 3 seconds of touching the ground?

Considering most people i've ever spoken to prefer watching judo, I disagree. Judo will always be more interesting as ippon is so incredible to see. Most people don't know what's going on in a BJJ match. I love both arts though.
