Epic contest, Ono is not easily dominated by anyone, not even super fast and strong Sagi Muki. By not risking with a big attack he lost anyway, Ono is too good a Judoka for tactical fight, it needs to be all or nothing from Sagi Muki - but he was too focused on trying to control grip and get into perfect position. Ono just stayed alert and waited for the opportunities to come and then exploded techniques from whatever position he found himself in. Onu is such a natural talent and a battle hardened competitor like no other. Both men deserve credit though, it was a taller, perhaps stronger man who came up against a more rooted and agile opponent who could read him better.
