Gvinashvilli vs Bobonov at 33:30 Udo Quellmalz, World and Olympic champion and also an IJF supervisor concluded (commentary at ijf.org): “It was such a nice ippon day today. The final between the Georgian and the Uzbek was marvelous. I could watch matches like that for hours. Golden Scores are not important when you reach that level of judo, as long as it is interesting to watch. It is hard to win and to throw, but when you try, you often succeed.“

Sergei Matveev it wasn’t a bridge. “4. Bridging (on the back) by uke has long resulted in ippon. But in the past year, referees having been giving hansoku-make for uke landing on the front of his head. I guess you could call this a front bridge. Now it's official: front-bridging is hansoku-make However, just because uke's head hits the mat doesn't mean it's automatically hansoku-make for uke. For throws like drop seoi-nage, drop sode and drop koshi-guruma, sometimes uke's head just hits the mat whether he likes it or not. not a bridge , and no score overration landing on front of sholder good decision from commision very experienced referees from olympics guys these people do this as a fulltime job give them there credit pros

lol what a useless martial art in regards to practical use, any jiu jitsu guy or wrestler would destroy these guys

@@roykunisaki4548 for real life situations such as mma or street fights, Judo doesn't hold up very well against other martial arts.

I think making your opponent off balance is a good practical use. In addition, MMA is mixed martial arts you can't compare the two when it encompasses Judo itself.

Judo throws are used in MMA though ? MMA stands for Mixed Martial Art and if youre talking about bjj it came from judo. Probably should do your research before making statements like that.

@@cristianbroadnax8472 Judo by itslef is useless, you can be a wrestling expert or Jiu Jitsu expert and do well in MMA but you cant be a judo expert and do well without other forms of mma
