Pigly_Jainda Squad .. in my opinion its a cheap throw. its rare that someone even does it right. most people just drop and hope ukei rolls over on their back.

Not really, most people (especially white belts) actually try their throws. It wouldn't work without trying.

Pigly_Jainda Squad . in my opinion its a throw for the weak. i only practice and execute ippon seionage. i don't need my weight to pull someone to the ground.

Ernest adames It actually takes a lot of technique and speed to pull off a drop seoi nage, or a drop version of ANY throw (except drop Koshi Guruma). It does require some strength as well to get good Kuzushi but that's not what judo is about. Judo is about Maximum Efficiency-Minimum Effort. Just because a throw is "for the weak" doesn't mean it's "cheap" or it doesn't work.
